About Café Kidz

Café Kidz is the producer and distributor of original and engaging multi-part activity packs for children, ideal for cafés, pubs, event venues and any outlet where parents wish to keep the kids entertained in a traditional and fun way.  Designed to keep children busy for up to 1 hour, the packs are created to appeal to ages 3 to 9 and include a range of themed designs to appeal to boys and girls. 

Robyn Holdsworth, Café Kidz owner and creator, has extensive knowledge and experience in the design and usability of children’s educational resources and is the mother of one daughter.  Robyn came up with the idea of the Café Kidz pack when she recalls:

One morning, sitting in my favourite local café, I watched an exhausted mother try to enjoy a much needed coffee break with her friends while at the same time trying to entertain her little daughter with two pencils and a colouring image. But the child was either distracting her mother constantly or racing around the café to the horror of the café staff attempting to weave past her carrying orders.  I thought – now there is something that is just not working for anyone – mother, daughter or the café.

 At that point watching this little girl desperately in need of something to entertain her mind, that would also keep her mother free to have a precious moment to herself, it came to me – something was needed that kids could really enjoy and be content with while out at a café.

 From that morning on, Café Kidz Activity Packs were born!

The packs are designed by Robyn and produced by a range of talented artists with extensive experience of children's product illustration.   This combined expertise ensures that Café Kidz Activity Packs are of high quality, engaging and age appropriate for Australian children. They have been extensively prototyped and researched to ensure that they will provide maximum interest, fun and entertainment for their young users.
